I'd like to post my Facebook status updates via a WordPress sidebar widget. How do I do it? - Mike - 12-10-2012 03:54 PM I have recently started hosting my own site using WordPress as a back-end. I would like my Facebook status updates to be posted to my sidebar automatically. I imagine I would need some sort of widget for this, but I'm having difficulty locating one. Any suggestions? - Sam Mclean - 12-10-2012 04:02 PM Fist you will have to make a facebook app that posts status by its self. then a widget to to post the stuff in for your website. I have never done this before so I am not fully shure how to do it. Sorry. Try the facebook developer page. - Darron Burow - 12-10-2012 04:02 PM Facebook badges work fine on pretty much any website including WP. Active scripting, will only work if you have your own domain and not hosting on wordpress.com http://www.facebook.com/badges/ More useful plugins to help promote your WP site to social networks and more: http://www.inforats.com/top-10-must-have-wordpress-plugins/ - Andrea - 12-10-2012 04:02 PM Looks like you can create a profile update for your Wordpress blog with an RSS feed widget - neat! Oop that hongkiat link is the first one I found - but facebook has changed since then - here's a workaround: http://www.techlifeweb.com/2008/12/16/how-to-find-your-facebook-status-rss-feed/#comment-3518 |
