In Facebook, is there a difference between joining a group and just being a fan? - Sophia - 12-10-2012 07:44 PM

I became a fan of a group, but it doesn't come up when I click on my groups. Can someone explain this to me?

What happens is that a fan page is different from a group. If you joined a fan page, then you will not see it on your groups. It is important you know this so you can look for it in the proper section.

Fan Pages have more features than a group and are usually used even by big companies for Marketing purposes while Groups are usually created by Users.

If you join a fan page then you should look for it on "Pages I'm a fan of"
