How to prevent my parents from seeing certain things that I do on facebook? - john - 12-11-2012 03:08 AM

I have time line. I am not a bad person I just don't want my parents to be cropping on my facebook and being able to see everything I do. I don't necessarily want to block them I just want to limit what they see on my Facebook like what pics "I like" and stuff like that. If I block them or do whatever you say will they be notified that I did it to them?

Thanks for your help!

I think you can limit those kinds of things in your settings.

On everything you post on facebook theres a little screw type button on the bottom right and if you click it then click custom you can set it so your parents don't see what your posting yet they will still be on your friends list. You could also block them because that won't notify them and honestly, they probably won't notice unless there stalking your page.

Create Lists for different groups of people eg Family, School, Girls etc.

Then when you post something, via the Settings (cog icon), you can choose the visibility of the post to certain Lists - eg choose all Friends, but not Family.
