I met a celebrity and got a photo and wish to add it to their page on facebook like many others do.

Is it a personal page or Fan Page. Well either ways, if the admin of that page allows other users to post pictures then your free to do that. But some people restrict others form posting anything on their wall.
If its a fan page, then you can't post anything unless your not a fan or if the admin also restricts others form posting.
But you can share this photo if you post it on your wall instead. And everyone will see it on their news feed.
