Good wifi capable cameras? - Jdawg - 12-11-2012 05:03 PM

I want a new digital camera where it can take good pictures but can also upload them directly from the camera to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Or if there is a camera with a built in web browser to email pictures, or if it has applications built in (like the android powered digital camera; but that's too expensive for me). I want it to be under $100. Is the Flip camera any good? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated Smile

Some cameras can use the Eye-Fi SD card for sending image files to your computer.

Those cards cost about $35.

Sending images from a camera to a website may be a challenge.

Flip is no longer made and if it is one of the cameras that can use an Eye-Fi card, you will have to test for yourself

All wi-fi does is put the pics on your computer without mucking about with card readers or USB cables, it WON'T do the direct upload you're looking for. Kodak's direct upload system was marred by one minor flaw - it didn't work. Wi-Fi capable cameras aren't cheap.

$100 will get you an eye-fi card (alternative to wi-fi which fits most cameras that use SD cards) OR a (bad) camera to put it in, but not both.

The flip is junk.
