I figure if they are on facebook, they should be pretty trustworthy.
How about the adds off of facebook? like shoot the duck and you will win an ipod or something.

no, facebook does not have anything to do with ads

They want to to sign of with so many services that it would cost more the product itself.
One time I saw one that it take 12 credits cards to get one.

If you see it in a banner add then it is a scam.
Always.
It doesn't matter where the add is, or who the add is for. If they are resorting to the crud-pile of the universe that is banner adverts then they are untrustworthy and the best plan is to stay away.
