How to prevent people from seeing what you like on facebook? - David - 12-12-2012 05:16 AM

How can you prevent people from seeing what you "like" on facebook?
I went to privacy settings then went to custom and chose make this visible to only me. I'm not sure what it includes, the description doesn't say much.

Do you want to hide your likes or just the entries in the timeline?

For not displaying/displaying only to you :

Go to Timeline > Activity Log

Here you can select to hide specific like notifications

OR you can just exclude likes from recent activity or hide similar activity etc.

However, if you do not want people to see what you like, why do you even bother to "like" it?

If your purpose is to bookmark specific pages though, it is understandable.

if you mean the likes and comments that show in the ticker, add those people to your restricted list and they wont be notified of the things you like
