Forgot one thing... I'm on am Android phone. XD can you still do it from a phone? I don't see anything in settings about tweet privacy?

Go to settings which is the icon that looks like a person near your DMs. Check the box that says "Protect my tweets"

Click on the little grey icon with a human shape on the top left
choose settings
find 'tweet privacy'
check the box before protect my tweets

for mobile devices:
go to http://mobile.twitter.com
(login)
scroll to the bottom tap settings
tap privacy
check the box before tweetprivacy (something along those lines)
