A question about twitter!! PLEASE ANSWER!? - .. - 12-12-2012 11:30 PM

So when someone tweets on twitter, and your following them (but their not following you) and there's a button you can press under their tweet that says 'reply' when you kinda roll your mouse over it?
What happens If I reply to that? Will that person get it even though they are not following me? and will everyone see it or will it be private?

IM NEW TO TWITTER, thanks guys, reply asap! Smile xx

it will be public.

when you click on 'reply' all it does is put "@so-and-so" in the box, and then you can type into that box whatever reply you want to make.

it will show up looking like this:

@so-and-so I'M REPLYING TO YOU!! Smile

and everyone who can see your tweets can see that tweet. the person you reply to probably won't notice it, but if they click on the @so-and-so button on the right side of their own page, then your message will be there.

if you want to send a private message, that's called a "direct message."
