Boombox is def the best. You can search for songs..and there's a LOT. I listen to music on it alllll the time. It's really simple to use too. You can add multiple songs to your profile (up to 20), and you can even upload (not like from your computer, but put in the url and add it etc.). You can now also make "tapes" now which is just like an extra selection of songs.

You can't have music automatically play. They won't allow it on facebook because i think like..they're apps and not an actual part of the fb.. or because they'd need flash or something. BUT you can add music at least. There should be some place on either the application's page or facebook's FAQs that tells exactly why you can't have an automatic player.

You can add a standalone music player with up to 75 songs if you add the project playlist application:
http://apps.facebook.com/ppl_player/
http://projectplaylist.com/
You can't have it on autoplay on facebook, but you can on other profiles (360, myspace, etc.). I don't think there are any that you can have on autoplay on facebook.
