What makes twitter better than facebook? - Kamal - 12-13-2012 06:00 AM

I'm just asking. There's no complication about it....

nothing does, it isn't

Twitter is good for quick link sharing and status updates, if that's all you want to do. Facebook has all that and more, you can connect with your personal life friends, and there's a ton of applications/games you can add and play, you can connect with events going on near you, there are so many more things you can do with Facebook.

Neither is necessarily better than the other. I think Twitter is good if you want to just focus on connecting with the Internet in general and doing quick updates and quick link sharing with your followers.

There is no competition between Facebook and Twitter...the two platforms complement each other. Twitter is great for quick public updates, whereas Facebook is more for keeping track of friends and private updates.

You can choose who you listen to instead to add them to avoid offending them, because you'd probably bump into them next week.
No stupid apps like Farmville.
No stupid apps that you need to do a billion surveys to see one funny picture.
No ads on the sidebar.
The 'Top Trends' can be hilarious at points, like 'Beliebers are the best!' underneath 'Jonas is the best!' and watch the Tweens tweet unintentionally stupid things.
That's about it. Twitter is just Facebook's inbox and Wall with a MySpace background.
