Facebook is probably more of a community site.

I prefer Facebook for some reasons, one of the biggest being that a user's profile page loads quickly without lots of pictures, animations, weird background colours and what not.
In short, it feels more organized and not on drugs

I wouldn't say one is better than the other, it's really people's own opinions. I myself like MySpace for that fact that you can customize your profile with HTML and CSS and make it creative and your own. You can also have more "friends" on MySpace and many bands also have MySpaces. Facebook on the other hand seems to be more secure. You're less likely to get your account hacked and spammed. It's also somewhat simpler since everyone's profile generally looks the same when it comes to layout and color and such. There's also a 5,000 friend limit, so if you have 5,000+ friends, Facebook might not be a good social networking site for you.
