Why am I having problems in Soul Calibur IV? - Deity Master - 12-14-2012 10:31 AM
Every once in a while when I play the Story Mode in Soul Calibur IV after I beat the second stage it goes to the black screen like it's loading but gets stuck like that. I can still access the Xbox menu and receive notifications like if a friend's online, I got a message, or if I want to join a party but it still stays on that black screen doing nothing. Please help it's very annoying.

Most likely the disc is damaged in some way. If it's once in a while, it's nothing to fret about. The game's "story" mode only has 5 stages. Most of the game's main attraction is the character creation and online matches.
I can only suggest that you install that game into the 360's hard-drive so that it won't continually keep reading over the scratched/damaged area of the CD.
On a side note, there is a petition that started from 8wayrun.com that went to Facebook about making a new entry. It's titled, "Petition to Namco for Soul Calibur 5". Since SC4 was the last in the story, they're considering remaking SC1. Check it out if you can and spread the word!
