I've got a couple of twitter questions here, read inside!? - Morgan21 - 10-08-2012 12:06 PM

So I never actually liked Twitter cause I only saw it as a mean celebs can use to get more closer to the fans. I've joined a while ago but it's lately that I've taken interest in it.

Is it true that you have to follow somebody and they have to follow you back to communicate? So if you leave a tweet to somebody, and they're not following you, they're able read it but they can't reply?

And what's the retweet thing? Is it like somebody liking somebody elses tweet, they retweet it so it can appear on their profile?

And lastly what are those # things they use in a tweet? It's clickable and it takes you to a whole list where everybody used the #something. Can you find the whole list of #s? or people just invent them out of the blue and how do they know they exsist in the first place? D:

Thanks for your help!

1. No.

2. Yes.

3. Hashtags. People invent them. Used to group things together.
