Where can I get a job that I can bring my baby with me? - verdant_love - 12-15-2012 04:31 PM My husband is a member of the United States Armed Forces so he's never really home. I have a 4-month-old daughter and I'd love to have a job that I can take her with me and not have to worry about hiring a sitter (because honestly, all the money I earn would go to paying for one.) I'm not a very social person and things like Avon just don't work for me (I've already tried selling mark by Avon online and no one visits my site.) I don't want to do something home-based and I'm not in the market to start my own business (who has money for these kinds of things anyway.) I want a real job with a paycheck and a boss. Does anyone know of any jobs like this in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, NC area or is anyone offering jobs like this? I don't have the time or money to get a license to work at a daycare center, that suggestion's already been made for me. Thanks for all your help, to those of you who answer. - Malinda B - 12-15-2012 04:39 PM Actually, I worked at a daycare in college (I was in college for business) and to be a teacher's aide you don't need any schooling besides high school. The pay isn't that great, though. Also, I know a woman who has her own home cleaning business, and takes her baby in the pack n play with her. She asks all the clients if this is ok first. Other than that, there's not many jobs where you can bring the baby along, unfortunately. - Regina T - 12-15-2012 04:39 PM I don't know of any office jobs. Companies usually don't want the liability. Self employment is the only way to go if you don't want to go the day care route. I'm a graphic designer and work from home with my little boys. How about a cleaning service? I've heard of individuals bringing their babies along while they clean, but you would probably have to work for yourself and find your own clients. I don't think if you worked for a cleaning service they would allow you to bring your little one. Starting your own cleaning business doesn't require a lot of money - just basic cleaning supplies and simple business cards and a lot of energy passing those cards out to everyone you know - even businesses. I would think you could get started for about $100. - theosharatos - 12-15-2012 04:39 PM Home is the best place. Make your own schedule. My husband is overseas and I have no choice but to stay at home. Beleive me, don't do the Avon, I tried it and lost a lot of time and money.
