1. Go to the Twitter website, http://twitter.com, and then log in to your Twitter account. If you do not have an account, click on "Sign Up Now" to create one.
2. Click on "Settings," and then click on "Account."
3. Put a check mark in the box that says "Protect My Tweets." This will protect your tweets from the public and will allow only the friends you have selected to see your tweets. In order for others to see your Twitter page, they must request to be your friend and have your confirmation.
