Facebook is it all it's cracked up to be? - momma4 - 12-16-2012 12:53 AM

I recently joined. I have found a few friends from when I use to be in school. Other than that whats it do? I can't seem to find much purpose in it. It is actually confusing going and seeing notifications like you've been hit with a snowball. Whats that about. Its not even interactive or fun?

Facebook isn't a game, it's a networking tool. I use it to keep in touch with all of my old college buddies. Most of the add-ons are stupid though, so i just block them.

Facebook is really for socializing with other people. Just like myspace. Sort of pointless. But if you don't have a whole big network with atleast 20 friends it really isn't much fun.

Facebook can be a little confusing at first. Just take some time to look around, click on options, change your settings, and get acclimated. It's a social networking website, so the whole point of it is to keep in touch with the people you know, and see what they're up to. The fun part, really, is to just look around and see what the people you know are doing in their lives.

You get your page, and you can add apps to it, which are like games and programs to customize your facebook. You don't have to add every app you're invited to, and you can turn off notifications for apps and for everything you can get notified about, so you can reduce the clutter.

Facebook is all about just getting the hang of all your options, really.
