How can I make my Flickr PRIVATE? - Delphine - 12-17-2012 10:21 AM

How can I make my Flickr PRIVATE but people can only see the image I linked?

Better yet, what is the simplest way to share pics other than Flickr (if there is one)?

Log in to your Twitter account. Enter your Twitter user name or e-mail address, and password on the Twitter homepage to reach your profile page.
Select "Settings" to modify your account. "Settings" is the fourth option on the right at the top of your Twitter profile page. Select it to go to your account management page.
Check the "Protect my updates" check box. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find this check box. It is the last feature and section of your account page.
Select "Save." This confirms your changes until you decide to un-check the box. Anyone who sees your profile will now see a large "lock" image indicating that your updates are protected.
Approve your followers. You will receive an e-mail notification when someone wants to follow you and will need to approve them so they can join your "following" list.

Make all of your pics private.
- When you upload some pics, they will ask you if you want to make the image public of private.
- Check the private box.
- Now if you want to share the image, just copy the image link, and paste it where you want
- But that won't make your Flickr profile is private anymore

If you want your Flickr to be unsearchable, go to : http://www.flickr.com/account/
- Scroll down till you see "Your Profile" tab.
- You'll see this words: "For your profile, edit who can see what or if it's searchable"
- Click on "edit who can see what"
- There, you can control which parts of you are public or not.
- Or you can click on "if it's searchable"
- There, you can control your photos to be wide site searchable or not.

You can also share pics on Picasa or Panoramio, but sometimes easier on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest, but I got some of this cool sites:
Imgur => http://imgur.com/ [Okay, I know this one]
TinyPic => http://tinypic.com/ [And this one]
Minus => http://minus.com/
Photobucket => http://photobucket.com/ [And this one]
Picoodle => http://picoodle.com/
ImageShack => http://imageshack.us/ [And this one]
Image-Share => http://www.image-share.com/
CubeUpload => http://www.cubeupload.com/

P/S: You can't just hide your profile, sorry.. Big Grin
