How does the Stalker Check application work on Facebook? - Alex D - 12-17-2012 08:15 PM

One of the new crazes on Facebook is this application through Funmagz called "Stalker Check." Does it actually track down how often these people visit your profile? Because I'm not sure that technology is available and would be free. It seems like an invasion of privacy if so. Or is it based off how many pictures/wall posts you have with these people?

Stalker Check, since renamed Fan Check has been deleted.
If it gets re-added, or another like it exists, here are some facts about it:

Yes, there is technology available for free.
There are a few social networking sites out there that let you know what people have visited your profile.
However, facebook is not one of them.

Facebook policy states that no application can exist that counts profile views, or gives you the names of people viewing your page.

In the fine print of the application it explained that it is not actually based on profile views.
It is based on user interaction. Who posts on your wall, likes your status', comments on photos the most.
