I just registred to twitter and i was wondering if you can also talk to someone there, leave comments or messages or only read what people are doing and write what you doing? Thank you!

You can message people on Twitter.

To message:
hit "home"
On the right, you will see something that says "Direct Messages"
click that.
Then it will say "send ___ a direct message"
Choose one of the people you are following, type the message, and hit send.
There is a 140 character limit.
=)

Hi Adelly,

There are 2 ways of getting a message to someone. The direct message approach in the other answer only works if that person is already following you. So, if I was following you and you used D pixelscalpel (which is me) then I would see that and no-one else would.

The other way is to use the @ symbol in front of their name. So if you didn't know me yet, you could use @pixelscalpel and I would see that pop up in my tweets. The difference is that anyone else following you would also see that message and theooretically everyone else on twitter could watch it go past as recent tweet.

Hope that helps,

Martin
