How do I stop that? I thought that was what Facebook was about?
She has never been tagged in a photo, or really commented on any of my posts or anything, occasionally I have commented on a picture of hers, but that has been the extent of it.

Well if she is tagged in a photo or status or if she commented on something then other people did after her she will keep getting them unless she removes her tag or deletes her comment.

i dnt think you can stop that LOL, the point of fb is to know what your friends are doing. soooooo, you cant stop it.

Unless you are sending her pictures, messages or requests to join
a game or something, she might be a little confused. She could get
notifications with your picture attached to it if you respond to the same
topic that she did. So, some of those notifications you have control
over, but some of them you do not. It may be up to her to disable the
notifications that she no longer wants to receive.
