What does 'le' mean/ or stand for in text? - Nimina - 10-08-2012 02:36 PM When ever i'm on facebook or twitter i see people write things like this: "le happy dances" or "le smiled and walked off" you know as if 'le' replaced the word 'I' i really want to know what it means because I've been seeing it for sometime now and i feel like i'm the only person who DOESN'T know what it means? - Stephen - 10-08-2012 02:44 PM It means the in French. It became popularized in English in rage comics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rage_comic ), and has eventually become popular on facebook. People just use it as a prefix to a noun nowadays, and some people are stupid and just start sentences with it. |
