Is there anyway I can just type in a code or number or something and then update my status just through a text message?

go into settings in Facebook and then to mobile and register your cell phone number than you have to send a text to Fbook (32665) and your msg will be your status update. You can do vids and pix by sending them to mobile@facebook.com.
