Is there a charge to recive and send messages to twitter from my phone? - Kk - 01-07-2013 01:11 AM

I have a Env Touch and unlimited texting. But I don't have a Data plan. Will this cost me anything?
But through Twitter you send it as a text message to the website. So do I need a data charge to do that or will they charge me?

Twitter is an internet thing, so you will be charged data fees. Since you dont have a data plan, you will be charged a lot.

If its completely SMS, then it will go under your text plan. For now, Twitter will absorb the extra text cost on their end but only if you live in India or the US or untill it gets too expensive (which is why they charge e1 else now).

there is no charge if you use Twitter mobile, which uses the short code 40404 to send and receive text updates
