So I just got a Twitter account and I've protected my Tweets. If I want to tweet someone, let's say Oprah or Barack Obama, and I say "Hi my name is Bob", will they see what I tweeted them? Even though my tweets are protected?

Your tweets are protected, so unless whoever you reply to follows you, they won't see your tweets in their @reply inbox.
