They harrassed her on Twitter to the point where she wouldn't even read her twitter messages. Are Brits that cruel that they harrass their Olympic stars just because of how they look? Wouldn't they want to cheer her on?

There are idiots in every nation and how can you possibly know the nationality of people on Twitter. Rebecca Adlington is a national hero and I don't know anybody who wasn't right behind her supporting her to win gold. She did her best and is admired and respected by most people.

Of course they cheer her on. It's a minority of brainwashed idiots who think everything has to be about looks. She's an athlete at the olympics not a model at a beauty pageant. In my opinion I think she's quite attractive and her talent and personality make her even more so.
