"Curbings Pendings" please, will you comment & critique an impromptu? - Lapiz Dominoes - 01-08-2013 10:11 AM "You Have Notifications Pending" I click on, invitations for to join more appeals, contribute more, some have good schpeils and, let`s face it, are necessary to keep the wheels of some poor souls` wagons from coming adrift. I sift through, day after day. Some are seriously serious - needing to alter a law, or lay a floor for some village school yet - It strikes me as uncool that there`s no curbing the sorrows so disturbing in my `inbox`. I select which news to view so`s not to be - continuously upset. Yet I annot escape this Seemingly necessary mind-rape. All of the causes are legit but I protest - why hit on me - I am all for philanthropy and - How did that get on my fb? You see, all my colleagues are philanthropic and, though, relative to world-crises, our contributions are microscopic yet do make something somewhere better My spirit is burdened, I feel fettered by what I cannot change. Twitter, Linked-In, FB , I might think to sign out but there`s no doubt then my blog would suffer too . The fact is, I don`t know what`s best to do - my priorities are scattered when confronted by so much which, someplace, really matters. From now on, I`m going to limit it to animals and children but what if the solar crisis worsens? - that affects the children - on a forever basis! I decide, again, to put up with these daily horror-movies, for now. Just don`t ask me how - I`m just a fraction of the races to survive and it will be disturbing tomorrow too, when `You have notifications pending` messages will surely arrive." This is not a rant, but I`d guess, is a general quandary, just to see what y`all think? x evb that be the point! - joppa - 01-08-2013 10:19 AM And thats the burden that i cannot relate with, but i always see how caught up people can get in the web. This gift did not come for free. - THE BANNIBAL ONE - 01-08-2013 10:19 AM Nice story about people taking the internet too seriously. Mine get all deleted.I watch TV mostly.. Anything pressing I get a phone call or the police knock on the door.........BYE...............:+} - victorioushobbies580 - 01-08-2013 10:19 AM Did you buy FB stock? Makes a nice gift for homeless people. - evenball - 01-08-2013 10:19 AM speaking for myself, (der) pencil, i've found that when you have nothing, no-one asks for anything. ] (shrug) |
