Last night I applied to be verified on twitter and I want to know if do they send you a message telling you if you haven't been verified?

You only usually need to be verified if there are other people claiming to be you, or if you're famous, or if people report you as a fake.
they usually send you an email explaining your account has been suspended and they'll ask for legal photographic ID (Which you'd need to scan or photocopy and send to them)

Verification is only needed for famous people who may have their identities used by someone else.
