How much Does a Marketing Specialist Earn? - Alex - 01-16-2013 09:28 AM I am currently working as a temp to perm "Marketing Specialist" for a $50 million supply chain management company with just over 70 employees. What I make right now is irrelevant to me, since it is the staffing firm who is paying me until the 4 month probationary period is over, then the company will hire me full time. The Vice President told me that after the 4 month period ends, they will hire me and restructure my salary based on competitive industry data. I have gone through the detailed question and answer applications on PayScale.com and Salary.com, and also researched the positions on Glassdoor.com. Vault.com, and random online websites, which all come up with a salary of $52,251 (with an overall range of $34,021 to $68,264) based on the job, my responsibilities and skills. I manage the marketing communications, strategy, and project management for all marketing initiatives for the company. I am also going to be establishing Media Relations, University Relations, and Community Relations divisions within the company, and expand them. Also, I have a Master's degree, and roughly 6.5 years in marketing, social media, project management, and strategic decision making experience. Based on this, do you think that $52,251 is an accurate amount (or too high or low?), and do you think that the range of $34,021 - $68,264 is also accurate (or too high or low?)' Thanks. - Blue - 01-16-2013 09:34 AM If that amount is monthly then I think that is okay unless you have a lavish lifestyle. But then again it really depends. You might want to double check your calculations using this site. |
