The guy i have a crush on DM'd me (i was super surprised) anyway , i follow him , he just hasn't followed me back . i find it weird that he sent a DM to me because its not a mutual follow . does anyone know he did it ? because i cant reply to him lol.

because you follow him, hes able to DM you. u cant because hes not following you.

That happened to me one time, I was like, "why can't i message you backkkk?!" and then I realized you can only DM to those who follow you. He was able to DM you because you follow him, he doesn't follow you so you can't DM him. You can DM alllll your followers but unless you follow them back, they can't message you. It's really stupid, but it makes sense as to why. You can always tweet him and ask him to follow you or something, even though that can be nerve-wrecking. I hope it helped(:
