What kind of great careers are there for people who literally stays glued to the computer? - Dollified - 01-16-2013 09:30 AM

Here's the thing my bestie is trying to find something shes great at and she asked me about it and I told her something involving computer. She literally stays glued to the computer, but then again in todays society who doesn't. Also she's a really good writer, a beauty guru fanatic, and she's really creative. I only could come up with a few and that was an author(lol i know no money making thing), web designer, and that's it lol. Anything else you guys cuz I really dont know what to tell her since I've just now found my own passion.

First off, congrats on finding out what you're truly interested in, most people go through subject after subject finding out what they really "fit into." Including myself.

As goes for your friend, it would be helpful to know what she generally is doing while on the computer. If it's just something like Facebook and updating Twitter then there's really nothing pointing to an actual career.
Now if it's something like making designs or images out of nothing then I agree with you, Graphic Design sounds great. As goes for the author suggestion, I would say no. The majority of "authors" out there simply do not make it, and instead just eat away their time typing away in a Word document. Sad but that's the truth.

Thinking of other possibilities, if she's at all interested in the software or hardware or coding of a computer or program (the nerdy side of things ;-)) then she might want to look into a degree in Software Design. Better yet she could get a degree in Computer Science. This is a good general degree about all things "computer."
Good luck with your future, and her decisions.
