Is there a way to keep my twitter off google, and still have a public account? - The Gold Fighter - 01-16-2013 09:30 AM My name is really unique, so the search results are already pretty limited when someone googles me. I right now have a private account on twitter to prevent things from showing up on google. But it's really annoying because I can't get retweeted as easily. It actually impedes on how I use twitter since I want more people to see my tweets. - Tohid - 01-16-2013 09:34 AM In account setting page, unmark protect my tweets option. - Sadeque - 01-16-2013 09:36 AM See tutorial on youtube about on it. - Martha - 01-16-2013 09:42 AM Once it's out there in search engine land, it can be very hard to get rid of it. My unscientific suggestions: You could try asking Google to reindex your Twitter profile page by suggesting it on their "suggest URL" page. You might also try setting your Twitter to private for a while, to see if that triggers a reindex.......... |
