i've had a twitter for years, and now is my first time being in Twitter jail. how long does it last for your first time?? someone please tell me...im ready to start back tweeting again lol.

you did something wrong. Probably months, depending on how bad you've been.

Twitter Jail is a period of ~1-3 hours where you can’t tweet, and occurs if you exceed more than 100 tweets per hour. Twitter DM Jail takes effect if you send more than 250 DMs a day, and results in you not being able to send DMs for the day.
Anywhere from half an hour to twenty-four hours. I think it depends on how much you tweeted.
