Or do you think they are here to stay?
Why?

Also, how much do sites like Facebook and Twitter affect your life, are you 'addicted' to them? Have they benefited your life?

Facebook I think will stay for a while, it's the best way to keep in touch and
find old friends online. No I couldn't ever be addicted to fb.

facebook: is here to stay, unlike myspace: facebook has a market with all age groups and does not allow users to create crazy profiles that are so hard to load that they freeze the computer.

twitter : isnt really even a fad, hardly anyone uses twitter. but it is popular with famous people , however, i doubt it'll go away soon ,

formspring however, will go away rapidly

I don't know but Facebook helped me finally meet my biological dad!

I wouldn,t say they are fads, as they have been around a while now. I think they are addictive though. I personally use neither, who wants to know every time anyone, goes for a pee, or , ooooo i just had a bath, or what they,ve had for tea. ..... What a waste of life.....well... i also waste my life cos i,m addicted to ebay....so i guess i,m as bad...

Not Facebook, maybe Twitter.
