I am a new member of Twitter and only have a few people following me. I need a lot more.

Participate in Twitter discussions.
Reply to people that you follow with interesting and informative tweets.
Make sure you use the #tag conventions so that people can find out what you are talking about with reference to a particular topic.
If you start posting interesting things, people will find you and start to follow you.

goto the serach box and type in keyword and follow people as their name appears

Attention, Interest, Desire, Action still remain as the main advertising science premises you must remember when using these social sites, this has to be remembered when using Twitter then. First thing to do is understand that Attention can be achieved by posting or sharing interesting links to your friends. Adding interesting friends is a must as well. By following those who you are interested to follow, you will be adding value to your network.
