NOW WAIT! I acknowledge that not every Republican is racist, and that many people have disagreements with the President that have nothing to do with race.

Im a white republican, and i can see past race and gender. Who cares what race or gender they are as long as they can do a good job. And honestly obama isnt as bad as people make him out to be. And for the racist's, well there every where in the world. Its to bad that many of them have given us rational republicans a bad name.

im sure it does. my question is, why have you never cared about any racism directed at any previous presidents that im sure existed also. but i already knew a double standard exists where people only care about "racism" when its committed by a white person or against a minority, but i dont think you realize it.
also, who cares. are his rights being violated? no. then people need to stfu with their ridiculous, childish, finger pointing i.e. the race card because its a non issue that drama queens keep blowing out of proportion.

I think it's a combination of a couple of things:
#1 Some people feel that the progress we've made in the last few generations (which is legitimate) means that we've "solved" racism in this country (which I do not think has happened). By extension, these folks feel that the things like you cite don't really exist to any great degree.
#2 I think there is also a backlash over perceived overuse of the "race card" in regards to President Obama or his administration by those who disagree with him. And, frankly, sometimes that backlash is warranted. Not two weeks ago a coalition of black legislators in Congress claimed Susan Rice was only being criticized because she was black. Most fair observers would say that was pretty much a load of crap. The point is, there is a "boy who cried wolf" sensibility to things. When it seems like any criticism of President Obama is accused of being racist, people eventually start to tune things out, ignoring legitimate concerns of racist behavior towards President Obama.
Personally, I do think that the people who cannot abide by President Obama because of his race represent only a small percentage of the population. But I do not question for a second that racists like that do indeed, unfortunately, exist.

Because no one outright says "I hate president Obama because he's black". Racism against him comes in the form of being harder on him and more critical of everything he does than they normally would.
