Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube played a big role in the Egyptian revolution that just happened. Has anything else like that happened before (In the past ten years?) where new media (As in YouTube, Twitter, Blogs, Facebook, etc.) played a main role?

Maybe not to the same extent, but yes, it has been used in most of the Third world conflicts of the past 5 years including Iraq, afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran. It is a nightmare for Leaders who control by controlling information. Control of Information has been a War weapon, or a ruling weapon for thousands of years. Now, This upstart stuff is usurping their controls.
