I know people hate when other promote on their videos but I can't think of any other ways? Help me out here? Thanks!

Getting into the Youtube business is difficult at start.
Try to hype up your videos and give consistent and regular previews of your upcoming videos. get more videos ideas from your audience and other Youtuber.... follow your audiences taste and wishes in terms of what they want to watch.
and a way to spread your videos is through facebook, twitter, friends and family, and through youtube accounts. comment on popular youtube videos asking people to subscribe to you etc. it'll eventually grow.

Keep posting quality videos and you will naturally get a fan base. Remember, the famous youtubers used to have less than a million subscribers a couple years ago and they continued to upload quality videos which attracted more subs. It takes years to build a fan base.

This isn't actually an answer but a question instead. What is your youtube account called? I'd love to watch it.
