I am sure there and tens of thousands of people who want to communicate with these same people, but it isn't going to happen.
Have you even thought about the amount of security people that have to protect these people? Of course you haven't.
Anyone who is well known or talented has to be protected from overenthusiastic and stalker type fans.

You don't have to do much of anything but create a Twitter account. Find your favorite artist Twitter account, and send them a direct message or tweet. The chances of them responding to you is 50/50, because so many other people are trying to contact them as well.
