How do I eliminate adds from my twitter account? - Alex - 01-16-2013 10:10 AM

I am quite new in Twitter, I follow just a bunch of people and only a bunch of people follow me. One week ago I have realized that messages appear in my account as if I had written them, when I did not. These messages advertise different stuff. What should I do to stop this from happening?
Thanks!

you can block the 3rd party advertisement by changing settings. here i'll give you step by step....

Login into your twitter account.
Click on Settings.
Choose the tab "Connections"
You can get the list of third party applications you're using.
Go to the application that you want to stop and click on "Revoke Access"
Click on save and you're done.

And the other option is Search for the "Unsubscribe" link and click on it.

These messages might be coming from the people you follow. Just check to see who has tweeted or retweeted it. If the tweets appear as if they are coming from your account, you should change password.
