Loads of people have twitter so I'm going to make one but I don't really know how to use things like the # hashtag. Can you please give me a little info?

Hash tags on twitter are basically like a subject, so if I were to make a post saying:
"I love my new shoes! #vans" <-- I hash tagged vans because it's the type of shoe I bought (kind of a lame example but I can't think of anything else!)
So that kind of explains the hash tags. When you sign up, you'll see people using hash tags and you'll get the feel of what they're for. It's hard to explain what they really are for if you don't have a twitter!
