Supposedly it will be the end of the world because the calendar year will "stop completely"

People say that because that is when the world is going to end (supposedly). If it does end, you won't be annoyed for long so there is no need to worry. If it doesn't end (which is the most likely case) December 22nd will only be half as annoying because people will saying they survived the apocalypse in an annoying way, yet slightly less annoying than all of the "yolo"s you will be hearing on the 21st.

its rumoured that 21st will be the end of the world.people will create a hype on social networking sites on this date. popular sites like facebook and twitter will have their servers down on this date which will annoy many users.
