Laptop fell and now has an error code 0xc00000e9, would this be a possible fix? - yeah - 01-17-2013 02:37 AM Basically my laptop is saying that when I dropped it, something inside messed up, my guess is that it's the hard drive, I took apart the laptop and everything was in place including the hard drive, would buying another hard drive and a windows 7 installation cd make it work again? My mom lost the windows 7 installation cd for my laptop, it's a dell Inspiron n5050, so could I just upgrade it with a new hard drive? Also, could someone link me to a place I could buy a 64x bit windows 7 installation cd? - .Social Suicide - 01-17-2013 02:45 AM Ermmm.. I would try another HDD, and try to "recover window 7". Note* window 7 Operatin System cost around $100. So best bet is to put in new HDD to see if your Mother board is carrying a os backup program, that could allow your HDD to self repair OS. Try installing a SSD in the External slot. - Dell Inc. - 01-17-2013 02:45 AM Hello Yeah, I am from Dell Social Media and Community.
