Any advice... dating a doctor? - Casey - 01-17-2013 06:32 AM

Hi I really like this guy but he's a doctor and I don't know how to act around him! I know, I try my best to be myself. But, I always feel so nervous, like he's judging me the whole time even though he's probably not. I'm the type of girl that always says something witty but I always think that if I say something funny like that then he'll think I'm not mature. I'm planning on becoming and RN btw. Do you think he would think that's a good job or do doctors prefer dating lawyers or other doctors?

I'm reallyyyy shy but witty/ funny (weird combo i know) but I feel like I should be a confident, serious smart robot when I'm around him. What do you think? What should I do. I really like his soul he's a very sincere and caring person and that makes me crazy.

Should I tone down the wittiness and post less funny stuff on sites he sees (Facebook, twitter, etc) is that a turn off that a girl is a little funny?

Doctors are difficult to date. Not that there's anything wrong with them. It's just that their profession is very intense. The last thing they want on a date is to discuss medical/health/insurance business. So just keep away from those areas and you'll be fine. Most doctors, on a date, are interested in forgetting their work. So, just be yourself. You'll be fine.
