If you plan on drinking alcohol, purchase an illuminated Build-A-Luge kit from http://www.Build-A-Luge.com! It's a DIY reusable, full scale ice luge. I got one for my 21st birthday party (but have already used it a million times.) The three ice blocks glow amazingly, so I stuck it in the dark area of the party-- with all the dancing & music. DEFINITELY CHECK IT OUT! I swear-- it was the BIGGEST hit at the party! I've also taken it tailgating and to friend's parties.

You can check out the company's facebook page to see it in action:

Sounds like you guys are trying to go crazy, but if you want a lot of people you said you have two weeks so just like anything it comes down to marketing. Just keep talking to everyone you know bat the party tell them to tell anyone they know and keep talking abut it and building it up. If you're gonna be having tha many people you need a DJ to keep them entertained so I'd get on that, plus DJs can help you market the party. Use social media like Facebook and twitter to setup a party page and you can invite people that way too. Also don't pussy out when it's too big for you too control, nobody likes a pussy.
