Which is the best CMS to use with Bluehost? - shauna - 01-18-2013 10:49 PM

I just purchased my domain and hosting. Bluehost directs me to Simplescripts but there are so many options here, I don't know where to start. I'd like my site to be linked with existing facebook & twitter pages as well as the you tube channel. It will be used for member login, forum, surveys, updates, events calendar, and content linked from the previously mentioned pages. Hopefully something will have the capability to sort members into groups using options they chose when signing up. Does anyone know which site builder is best for what I want?
I thought Wordpress was a blog...I don't need a blog

WordPress is the best.

Any options they list as good are good - it depends more on which you thing you'll find easiest to use.

WordPress is actually quite popular, and has become flexible enough to work as a CMS. It is still blog-focused, but you don't have to have a blog. It can be just pages, and there are plenty of plugins, both paid and free.

There are plenty of options when it comes to picking a content management system for a development project. Depending on how advanced you need the CMS to be, I prefer joomla is a very advanced CMS in terms of functionality. Joomla has been used for everything from inventory control systems to reservation systems, to complex business directories, in addition to normal websites. There are also tons of plugins and themes will make your website more exposure.
