I just made a yahoo account and i just made an avatar. How do i make my avatar my yahoo profile pic?

Go to your Activity page or click on your exclamation mark.
Select Edit My Preferences then Update Photo. When the window opens select the avatar you have made, click on it then click Use Selected. Then click Submit. When the window closes click on Submit again.
It may take a day or two for your avatar to appear.

You can use a photo or a Yahoo! cartoon avatar, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.
Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.
If you want a cartoon avatar, go here to create one: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ - then click on "Yahoo!" under "Export your Avatar".
In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about , click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Click "My Activity" at top of page
Select "Edit My Preferences"
Click "Update photo or avatar"
Follow instructions to select your photo/avatar
Click "Submit" on bottom of original page when done
To make a carton avatar:

Make sure your profile is not hidden.
