Followers are real people in case you missed that.Just go ask your friends to follow you.Also, you can link your facebook account to twitter so that when you tweet, it shows up on facebook.This way they can notice you and follow you on twitter.
Just a tip, avoid all those apps and websites that say they can give a boost to your followers number because they are all fake & you are probably going to get your twitter account hacked or infect your PC with a virus.
