Why is the Pope using Twitter to connect with a younger audience? - MuMu - 01-19-2013 08:29 AM

You would think that someone so tradition-laden would stick to old school methods of communication.

- xerxes - 01-19-2013 08:37 AM

Because he wants to connect with a younger audience.

Pope is a thug and a hate monger. He is on his death bed and instead of spreading the message of love and tolerance he is spreading hatred. He is nothing short of being a politician. But there is no reason to worry because more and more Catholic countries are legalising same-sex marriages.
People say politics and religion should be separate but when the sole purpose why some religions were created was politics then how is this possible?
Someone should storm the Vatican PALACE and turn it into a heaven for same-sex marriage ceremonies.

Maybe because young people use "Twitter" to communicate.

Traditions are not necessarily bad, nor do they necessarily stop people using modern technology. Throwing out all tradition for the sake of it is just as stubborn as refusing to make any changes at all.

The Pope - as you said - wants to connect with the younger generation. I'm not a Roman Catholic, but think it's cool that he's using this technology to do so. Lots of 21st century Christians are using the media and modern technology to reach out to people in closed countries - the Internet, Satellite TV and so on - as it can get to places that more traditional outreach methods can't. Teens and other young people are a different kind of group, and if they're best reached by Twitter, then that's the place Christians need to be to speak to them.

Old methods of communication. Hmmmm. OMG, look out, it's a papal fiat!!! I'm not home. Don't answer the door, maybe he'll go away.

Because he knows Christianity is a gone case, these are the last throws of a sinking ship.........

to abduct new cult members.
the church wants new recruits that it can train in their evil ways.
they want to brainwash as many young impressionable people as they can and make them slaves of their made up crap.
god is a joke and religion is a scam. avid all of it.
