I just made an account , i understand the following systerm but i want to send someone something certain , how can i do that?
and how do i know that i got a reply , thank you in advance

on Twitter, if you want to privately send a message, send a direct message (look to the right of the homescreen). if you don't mind it being public, you can mention that person in your status using @[username]. To check for a reply, either check replies or direct messages (both on the right side), depending on how you sent something to that person.
